CALL FOR ENTRIES – Group Art Exhibition
“Metallurgic Visions: Images on Aluminum”
**SUBMISSION DEADLINE 10/5/2018**
For our final exhibition of 2018, The Gallery @ Unique Imaging Concepts is looking for photographers and digital artists who would like to print and exhibit their images on our premium Chromaluxe clear-coated aluminum panels. If your work is selected, we will produce prints of your image(s) at a significantly discounted price and exhibit them to the public in a two-month group exhibition during the 2018 winter holiday season. This is a great opportunity to present your work in a unique and exciting form!
Images that are best suited for printing on our clear-coated aluminum panels tend to have strong composition, high contrast, saturated colors, and/or bold texture.
WHO CAN APPLY:
• Photographers and digital artists over the age of 18 with digital files ready to print
SCHEDULE:
• Entry deadline – 10/5/18
• Artists notified by – 10/12/18
• Final files for print due – 10/19/18
• Opening reception – 11/2/18
• Closing date – 1/4/19
• Artist pickup – 1/7/19 – 1/11/19
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
- Artists can submit up to 4 images for consideration
- Submission images must be JPEG format, 1000px on the longest edge
- No entry fee to apply!
HOW TO APPLY:
Send an email to john@uniqueimagingconcepts.com with the subject line “ART SUBMISSION” and provide the following info:
• Artist Name
• Contact info including Phone number, email, and mailing address
• Description of each submitted image, including:
- Title
- Dimensions and resolution of the full size version of your image(s)
- (examples: “20×36” @ 300DPI”, “3000×5000 px @ 72 DPI”, etc.)
- Desired size for final print of each image
• Submit images via email attachment (maximum of 10mb attached per email) or provide a link to Dropbox/Google Drive containing your submitted images
• NO ZIPPED FILES PLEASE
TERMS:
• Selected artists will be offered a 25% discount on the cost of their ready-to-hang print(s).
• Payment for prints is due before the opening date of the show, 11/2/18
• 10% commission on net sales from the show will go to Unique Imaging Concepts. Unique Imaging Concepts will collect all applicable sales taxes.
• By submitting work for consideration, the Artist agrees to participate in the exhibition as described in these terms. Participating artists agree to offer their selected print(s) for sale for the duration of the exhibition.
• Prints will be on display and for sale in our gallery from 11/2/18 – 1/4/19. Artists will retain any unsold work at the end of the show.
• All images submitted must be the original work of the submitting artist
• By submitting images for consideration, Artist agrees that they hold the copyright to the submitted images
• By submitting images for consideration, Artist agrees to allow Unique Imaging Concepts to use selected images for promotional purposes related to the exhibition and our gallery, including posts on social media, our website, and promotional submissions to press and media outlets
• Artist will retain ownership and copyright of their image(s). We will produce one print of the selected image(s) to display for the show. Inquiries for additional prints/different sizes will be referred to the artist.
If selected for participation, we will work with you to finalize the details of your print:
• Following notification of acceptance to participate, artists will need to submit their FULL resolution ready-to-print images by 10/19. Images must be JPEG or TIFF format.
• We will confirm size and price before moving forward to print
• Prints will be a minimum of 12”, maximum of 48” on longest side.
• Image size/quality will be considered to determine the maximum size of the final print. As a general rule, we can enlarge a file 3x the original resolution and maintain image quality. Unique Imaging Concepts will exercise our discretion with respect to image quality when recommending final print sizes.
• Pricing for prints is dependent on the size of the final print. We can customize the size and proportion of your print to match the dimensions of your image. See below for pricing examples:
- 12 x 12” print with frame @ 25% discount = $35 + tax (regular price = $47 + tax)
- 18 x 24” print with frame @ 25% discount = $89 + tax (regular price = $119 + tax)
- 24 x 36” print with frame @ 25% discount = $165 + tax (regular price = $219 + tax)
